Today was Modefabriek’s second and last day. One of the main things that Saba and I noticed was the huge amount of streetwear; sneakers, denim, t-shirts, customization and cool looking street-inspired people. Brands by the likes of Vans, Eastpack and Converse were majorly represented in the event’s SUBCULTURE & INDUSTRY segments. Is this the typical Amsterdam effect? Is streetwear taking over fashion week? Is the size of the city is so small that everyone can be part of fashion? And that therefore us young, fun and full-of-life ones dominate the scene? It’s our best guess! And we love it!
